Race day morning

30min to the start. Still eating for the long day!

I'm ready!

 Luke led me on the swim. I could not swim fast as him on this time.

He was in sick  but every race he swim fast.

At the steepest hill. We have to climb 3times...

 I was slow on the bike but kept my good pace.

Running in the heat of the day

 If I didn’t go the camp in Krabi, I might think ” It’s so hot!  The heat is killing me!”.

But I didn’t think that.

I didn’t try to run fast, just concentrate.

I want to say thank you for TBB stuff!

We are staying this hotel.

It has the restauraunt.

My room.

Shower room.

Coin-operated laundry.

Only 20 baht (about 60 US cents)

Nice road.

The nearest shop.

Cheap groceries.

There are some big super markets in 3km.

My dinner.

I and Maki are staying in Miyako for two weeks tarining camp.

We come every year.

It’s not cold and not so hot.

So we can train well.

Yesterday we ride with local team.

There are about 30 athletes.

We sometime stop at here to have rest during our bike ride.

We meet him every time.

It was our 3rd wedding anniversary on 12 Dec.

We went to the lunch cruise  today with Maki’s family.

I and Maki married at Kona then we had a wedding party on this ship.

Someday I will show you our wedding photos.

I don’t have these photos in my lap top.

We enjoyed the lunch.

There is our commemorative  plate.

There are plates of the people who did a wedding party here.

5:15pm Maki’s IM Hawaii finish

Maki went to the medicaltent because she was dehydrate.

But she felt still not good so we went to the hospital…

4:00am she had been recoverd

She got four packs drip.

So her face was swollen…

After one week I have to go a hospital in Japan again because my foot’s suppuration.

I got a scratch on my foot on the race.

It is small but it suppurated form last weekend.

I had verry small surgical operation.

It is going well.

But I can’t swim in this week.

Maki was 34th at Kona.

She was not so good on bike.

She said she tried push hard and hard but she couldn’t.

She flet so bad on bike so she was shocked.

After finish she got sick from dehydration.

She went the medical tent and had three packs intravenous but she did not get well.

We had to go a hospital by an umbulance.

She had one more pack intravenous and some medicine, she was getting better.

We back to our home at 4am…

Anyway I realize the cause of  her slow bike.

I had to pick up her bike because she went to the medical tent.

I pushed her bike but it did not move.

I saw one of  front wheel’s spoke was broken.

So the wheel didn’t move.

I told her this problem at the hospital she was in relief and getting better.

I think everybody can realize when a spoke is broken like this…

I don’t know she is a monstor or not.

Last weekend I was 49th at Kona.

Swim was not so hard for me.

I was at the front in the first big group.

I did’nt know there was so many atheletes in there.

I know that after finish the swim.

I felt so hard on the bike cause windy.

Someone said not so windy on this year but for me it’s very windy…

Running was going good until 25km.

After 30km I had leg clumps but I could keep running.

I think the Compressport socks helped me well.

I and Maki went to the swim course at 7:00am today.

We wanted to swim with dolpins like Lucie but we couldn’t…

We found a small baby shark on the course.

We swam with him.

I think that’s shark because he has dorsal fin.

Anyway, we went to the St. Peaters church yesterday.

Because we married at here about three years ago.

Maki chose this church more than 10 years ago but she didn’t know then  it’s famous for Ironman.

Even she was not a triathlete then.

It’s near the first U-turn on the running.

A South korean man was surprised.

I don’t know why.

I think Steve talked with him by Korean so he knows the reason.
