Yesterday I did my third world cup of the season.
After some problems in Des Moines – USA and a DNF, I did a good race at Edmonton – CAN.
I did a all right swimming and I was with the first pack after T1, on the bike the course was very fast but with a 200m very steep hill, I was felling very strong and every lap o the hill I was pushing the pack, on the 5th lap I got a little break and then I thought that would be a chance to get a gap before the T2, I pushed very hard with another 2 athletes but we just got 30 seg ahead to start the 10km run.
I start the run very well, after the first km I was leading but lost few position in the second lap of the run, when I start the last lap I was 5th then I found some strength and put myself back again in third position, but in the final sprint I did not have the speed enough to fight and again finish in 5th.
I am very happy with this race…now I will be going straight to Leysin to our camp in Europe, where I will be racing the Long course World Championship in France and some others world cups.
