After 4 months racing and travel for 10 diferent countries around the world what include the last 6 weeks in our Asia Camp in Thailand it has been almost three weeks I am Back home in Brasil.
My Main goal for the end of my season is to race in Cancun- Mex ( World Cup) and the World Ironman 70.3 Champioship in Clearwater- USA.
As part of my preparation to the races I competed last weeked in Santos – SP, one more stage of the race Trofeu Brasil – the best Triathlon Circuit in Brasil. The distance of the race was olympic non drafting and the day was very, very hot and humide, just perfect to make a good quality training day for Cancun.
I had a good swiming and I left the water just few seconds behind Paulo Miashiro, one of the best swimer of the sport, I did not have problens to pick the diferece up on the bike and around 5km I was already the leader of the race, however couple km later I hited a whole and my rear wheel was not streight anymore and my rim start to touch my breack ever moment a put more presure on the cranck as in the corner or with head wind. I decide to stop and try to fix but did not work! beause of that I start the run in third position almost one minute behind the leader. On the run I did a solid pacing in the first 5km and build very well in the last lap, I took the leader around 2km to go and stay there to the end of the day!
Now I am work hard again in Sao Carlos until I will travel to Cancun on 31st october!
