This is a view from the old Croydon airport, my Dad’s buisness, Wings Transport, is near here.
Anyway the reason for my blog about Croydon!!!! Bella doesn’t undrestand my attachment to Croydon. She thinks it is pretty non descript, which it is. But I have spent the first 25years of my life in Croydon, till Bella came along to wisk me away to other exoctic places:) !
Croydon isn’t very spectacular but please enjoy the pictures and the fascinating info I provide
This is where Croydon is situated, the red dot hasn't come out, Croydon is near the bottom south of the centre, the black outline is the Greater London area.
The Fairfield halls, many a famous act has performed here. My brother learnt things at the college next door!
The Brit school. A performance arts college. Famous acts like Amy Winehouse, The Feeling, Katie Melua, Leona Lewis and Adele to name but a few. Oh yeah and the late Kirsty MacColl was born and brought up in Croydon.
Selhurst Park, the home of Croydon's most succesfull football team, Crystal Palace. Although they are not doing so brilliantly at present, when I used to go to watch, we were in the then 1st Div (now the Premiership), Ian Wright was scorring all the goals, he still lives in Croydon:)
So that is now the end of your tour of Croydon. Anyone who has got to the end of this blog, very well done !
